It takes only one look at the recent past of Vinicius Bitencourt aka Cour T. to realize that Brazil revealed one more jewel of House Music, so much that in the beginning of the career, he impressed none other than Claude VonStroke and his record label Dirtybird, known for its psychedelic, deep and trippy releases — the perfect match with Vinicius’ music.

 

Since then, Cour T. has been representing his city (Curitiba) and taking his name through different parts of the world. In 2020, released new work through Dirtybird, Elevation, by Illusionize, remixed Ardalan and produced “Don't Think About It” a collab with his studio partner and friend DJ Glen, tracks that carry a mix of percussive rhythms with eccentric synths, intense bass lines, bringing a funky/ghetto/electro vibe that’s his trademark.

 

2021 started with his excellent “Monalisa” EP, work that started an audiovisual evolution in his career, and was also transformed into an NFT piece, making him the second electronic music Brazilian artist to sell in this innovative format. By the way, innovation is a word that always walks his side, whether in the construction of sets or in authorial productions, which escape from traditional molds. Seeing and hearing the perverse rhythms of Cour T. is always a pleasant surprise.

 

Another big step of his was when he idealized “The Brazil Show” program which was on the live set schedule on Dirtybird's Twitch channel for 7 months with weekly episodes, and ended with The Brazil Festival, bringing together 29 Brazilian artists over 3 consecutive days, presenting the Brazilian House Music emerging scene — more than simple, Cour T. proved to be an avant-garde and innovative artist at the same time.

 

Today at the age of 21, Cour T. holds six (6) international tours, performing in renowned nightclubs such as Sound LA (US), Audio SF (US), PARK.ART (BR), EL FORTIN (BR), SURREAL PARK (BR) and many festivals including XXXPERIENCE (BR), PLAYGROUND (BR), DIRTYBIRD CAMPOUT (US). Consolidating his relationship with DIRTYBIRD Records even further, his first Album “Brain Deals” will drop this October as another US tour will take place. Cour T.’s sound is a mixture of percussive rhythms, deep psychedelic synths and marked and intense bass-lines with a minimal/funky/ghetto footprint. Being supported by names like Jamie Jones, Mason Collective, Claptone, Mochakk, Green Velvet and many others. Colapso Recordings - Founded by Cour T. in 2022, he envisions to give a voice to those who make unique music in Brazil. It is the fusion of music and visual art as Cour T. is one of the vanguard references within the Brazilian House Music movement.
